Well, i personally dont like working myself. I prefer being at home n cooking:P

Right now I teach english once a week for few hours which doesnt really makes me feel that i am working. But when ppl ask me what are ya doing? i have to answer that i am working:P as they find it really weird that a graduate n at home doing nothing? they dont get it anyway!

i guess it under some circumstances, woman shud atleast learn and make herself ready even if she has to live wid her husband or alone... but in Parda

Islam does not ask women to abstain from working, we have so many wonderful examples in front of us, (e.g Hazrat Khadijah was a business woman), but Islam has given some guidelines, which we need to follow, and yes, your home should be your first priority!

I think if her husband brings home enough then she don't need to work at all. Allah Ta'la see qnaaet ki dua kerni chahiye hemesha and rest, all is well! :D (And should be thankful to Him all the time) On the other hand, if she wants to be active in society by doing all sorts of positive jobs (paid or unpaid), they both should have a talk and come to some reasonable decision.
